LAMONT, Calif., Dec. 17 (KNN) — Early Tuesday morning, the Kern County Fire Department responded to reports of a fire near Field Street and Boozer Avenue in Lamont. The initial 911 calls, placed shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday, described an unknown type of fire.
As crews made their way to the scene, additional callers informed dispatch that the fire had broken out at a pallet yard. Upon arrival, firefighters began working to contain the blaze, while the Kern County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic control and secured the area to ensure fire personnel could safely access the site.
No further details were immediately available regarding the cause of the fire or potential damages. The investigation is ongoing.
