1 Killed, 2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision in Gardena

Gardena, Los Angeles County, CA: One person was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision early Friday morning at the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Vermont in the city of Gardena.

The Gardena Police Department and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the collision that was initially reported at 3:00 a.m., Mar. 17.

Witnesses stated off camera that one vehicle was traveling eastbound through a red light, with the second vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.

One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and two female victims were transported to local area hospitals.

Traffic was closed southbound and westbound while officers conducted their investigation.
