1 Killed in Fiery Crash Into Construction Truck on 101 Freeway

STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES, June 29 (KNN) — A fatal crash involving fire occurred in a construction zone on the eastbound 101 Freeway early Thursday morning in the area of Studio City.

Just after 3 a.m., California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the 101 Freeway east at Tujunga Avenue for reports of a vehicle collision involving construction trucks.

One vehicle was found fully ablaze with the driver trapped in the wrecked vehicle when CHP and fire personnel arrived at the scene

According to the CHP, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The freeway was closed in the area of the crash as CHP conducted an investigation into the cause of the fatal collision.
