1 Killed in Freeway Traffic Collision with Big Rig

Covina, Los Angeles County, CA: One person was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision on the 10 Freeway early Monday morning, June 6, 2022.

California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fie Department received a call around 2:56 a.m. of a traffic collision in the city of Covina on the 10 Freeway eastbound at Via Verde.

Upon arrival, LACoFD reported there was a big rig versus vehicle collision with one person trapped inside the vehicle deceased at the scene.

LACoFD requested one more unit to the location so firefighters could extricate the deceased individual.

The big rig driver was not injured and no one was transported to the hospital. The collision is under investigation.
