1 Killed in Rear-End Crash Into Semi-Truck

Boyle Heights, Loa Angeles, CA: One person was killed when a vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck early Friday morning.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and police department received a call around 1:18 a.m., Mar. 31, regarding a traffic collision with parties trapped on the 3000 block of East Washington Boulevard in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, firefighters and officers reported one person trapped and one self-extricated from the vehicle.

One patient was transported to a local hospital and the other patient was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LAPD is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
