1 Killed in Shooting Behind Commercial Business in Pomona

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: A man was shot dead behind a business in the city of Pomona early Sunday morning.

Pomona police officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a shooting to the rear of a commercial business on the 3100 block of North Garey Avenue at West Grove Street, just before 12:30 a.m., June 4.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded and began an extensive investigation, reported Pomona PD.

A Pomona police officer was observed communicating with individuals at the location.

The motive for the crime is not yet known, according to Pomona PD.
