1 Person Found Fatally Shot in Pico Rivera; Homicide Investigation Underway

PICO RIVERA, Calif., Mar. 15 (KNN) — A victim of a fatal shooting was located by deputies near a bus stop in the city of Pico Rivera late Thursday night.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the Pico Rivera Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a gunshot victim at approximately 10:39 p.m. on a sidewalk near a bus stop in the 9300 block of Slauson Avenue.

Once deputies and firefighters arrived on the scene, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound down on the sidewalk. Firefighters and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting and if there is any suspect(s) description.

LASD deputies had all of the westbound lanes of Slauson Avenue closed while they investigated the fatal shooting.
