1 Rescued From River in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD CA, Sept. 1 (KNN) — A person stuck in a river prompted a rescue response from authorities Thursday evening.

The Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a person in the river holding onto a tree at Hart Park near River and Bison Road in the city of Bakersfield at approximately 6:13 p.m.

The individual was rescued from the river by fire department personnel and reported to be uninjured.

It was not immediately known how the incident occurred.
