BALDWIN HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 28 (KNN) — A vehicle slammed into a dumpster early Saturday morning, leaving one occupant trapped.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a solo-vehicle crash in the 3900 block of South Cloverdale Avenue in Baldwin Hills shortly after 2:30 a.m.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a black Fiat 500 had crashed into a large commercial dumpster full of dirt and a light pole. The crash pushed the car onto the fence of a nearby home.
There was one male trapped inside the car, which prompted firefighters to upgrade the call to a physical rescue.
Crews quickly extricated the patient and transported him to an area hospital in an unknown condition. A second male was also injured in the crash and transported to a hospital. His condition was also unknown.
LAFD had to lift the vehicle off the fence using their heavy rescue equipment.
The cause of the crash is unknown, but it is believed speed was a factor.
