UNIVERSITY PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif., Jan. 27 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide is investigating the shooting death of a teen Sunday evening.
LAPD officers responded to a shooting call with an ambulance requested at 6:46 p.m. on West 23rd Street and Hoover, according to the LAPD.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and LAPD officers arrived at the location to find an 18-year-old male who had been shot multiple times. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
An LAPD spokesperson told Key News Network that the suspect was described as a 25-year-old Hispanic male who fled the scene.
It is unknown at this time if the shooting is gang-related.
