Long Beach, Los Angeles County, CA: A male and female were critically burned in a fire which started in an RV and spread to a converted garage Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the 100 block of East Harcourt Street in the city of Long Beach around 1:44 p.m., June 1, regarding an RV fire at the location.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they located a single RV well involved in flames with extension into a detached garage converted into a living space.
At least one male sustained critical burns to his chest area and was transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics.
A female was also located suffering from unknown burns and transported to the hospital. Both patients were reported to be critical according to the fire department.
It was not immediately known if the burn victims were inside the RV or converted garage at the time of the fire.
An arson investigator responded to the scene to further investigate the cause of the fire.
