Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: An apparent illegal street race in the city of Palmdale left the driver and passenger of an uninvolved vehicle in critical condition after a collision with one of the racing trucks. The truck seen in the Key News Network video at the location, was racing another truck that fled the scene after the accident, witnesses stated.

The two vehicles were seen driving at high speeds west on Palmdale Boulevard on Tuesday, Mar. 1, around 10:00 p.m. when one lost control and collided with a third vehicle that was not involved.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel along with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies from Palmdale station responded to the scene. Deputies were seen interviewing witnesses at the location.
Open beer cans were visible on the ground near the wreckage as seen in Key News Network video, but it is not known at this time if alcohol was a factor in the collision. The two people that were transported to a local area hospital by AMR ambulance were listed in critical condition at the time of the collision. The condition of the driver of the truck is not known at this time.
