2 Injured in Crash Involving SUV Into Big Rig

CORONA, Calif., June 28 (KNN) — An SUV slammed into a big rig Friday afternoon leaving multiple people trapped with two injured.

At approximately 1:16 p.m., Cal Fire Riverside along with the Corona Fire Department, AMR and California Highway Patrol officers responded to a traffic collision in the 23000 block of Temescal Canyon Road in Corona.

Upon arrival, they noticed an SUV and a big rig had collided. Multiple people were trapped inside the vehicle with the brunt of the collision damage to the front end and front passenger side of the vehicle.

All parties were extricated from the SUV by firefighters, and a few were seen taking belongings from the vehicle with a small child by their side. They appeared to be uninjured.

However, two individuals were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation by the CHP.
