Pacoima, Los Angeles, CA: Two people were victims of a hit-and-run collision involving a taco stand Friday, Sept. 30, at approximately 11:53 p.m. in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Division and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the hit-and-run collision and located two victims that were struck by a vehicle described by witnesses as black in color who ran a stop sign at the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Mercer, then struck a taco stand in the area fleeing northbound on Laurel Canyon.
LAPD requested an air unit to search for the vehicle in the area. One victim was dragged underneath the vehicle several feet with severe injuries and the other victim suffered lower back injuries. Both patients were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Both sides of Laurel Canyon were shut down to investigate the incident.
