WEST LOS ANGELES, May 31 (KNN) — At least two people were killed in a fiery crash on the 405 Freeway overnight in the Sawtelle area of West Los Angeles.
At approximately 2:14 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers with the West Los Angeles area office and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on the northbound 405 Freeway at National Boulevard.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they located both vehicles fully-engulfed in flames with their front ends smashed together.
LAFD paramedics pronounced at least two victims deceased at the scene.
A Sig Alert for the northbound 405 was issued for at least two hours.
