Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: Bakersfield police officers were in a brief standoff with possible subjects related to an incident involving a female Sunday night.
Approximately 8:15 p.m., June 4, BPD responded to a call for an unknown situation with a female found lying on the ground injured. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital.
After attending to the reported victim, officers made contact with an address on the 600 block of Sumner Street in Bakersfield, reportedly related to the incident involving the female victim.
BPD officers called out for the occupants to exit the house, but initially the subjects refused to comply with the commands. After additional multiple verbal attempts by officers, at least two male subjects exited the residence and were taken into custody. Officers then entered the residence, however, it is unclear if anyone else was taken into custody or detained for questioning.
There are no further details regarding this incident at this time.
