2 Men Shot Inside Home in Walnut; Investigation Underway

WALNUT, Calif., Feb. 7 (KNN) — Two men were shot inside a home in the 19800 block of Vista Hermosa Drive and Camino Arroyo in the city of Walnut overnight, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Walnut Station deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the location around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man suffered a graze wound to the head and was found outside the residence. He was immediately evacuated to a safe area due to the unknown circumstance of the incident.

Authorities approached the home as a possible active shooter situation. Ultimately, there was no active shooter, but another victim was found.

A second man was located inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen, according to the LASD Walnut Station. Both gunshot victims were transported to a local hospital.

Deputies cordoned off the area for their investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unknown. The wounded men are uncooperative, according to the LASD Walnut Station.
