2 Men Shot While Sitting Inside Vehicle in Glassell Park

GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES, June 18 (KNN) — Two men were wounded in a shooting while sitting inside a vehicle in the Glassell Park neighborhood within Northeast Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division patrol units responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 2600 block of Crestmoore Place shortly before 10:30 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a vehicle that had crashed into hillside brush with a man inside suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. His condition is unknown.

A second male inside the vehicle was treated by LAFD paramedics and released at the scene.

According to the LAPD, two males in their 20s were siting inside a black Infiniti when an unknown suspect walked up to the vehicle and fired shots. The suspect then fled on foot.

The Infiniti ended up crashing into brush after the shooting.

The LAPD said it is unknown at this time if the shooting is gang related.
