2 Shooting Victims Found at Baseball Field in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Mar. 1 (KNN) — Two men with gunshot wounds were found overnight at a baseball field within a recreation center in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division responded to reports of a shooting victim at 1:11 a.m. in the 1500 block of East 41st Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located two gunshot victims on the bleachers of a baseball field at the Ross Snyder Recreation Center.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. The LAPD does not have information on the condition of the victims at this time, according to Officer Miller.

Miller said the vehicles that fled the scene were identified as a black Dodge Charger and a black Infiniti.

No further details are available.
