Rampart Division officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1 a.m. and discovered a man and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported both victims to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Investigators recovered shell casings and spray paint cans at the scene. Initial information gathered at the scene suggested the shooting occurred while the victims were tagging graffiti. A rival gang reportedly confronted them and opened fire, authorities said.
