2 Trapped After Vehicle Slams Into Light Pole

EAST LOS ANGELES, July 3 (KNN) — A crash into a light pole trapped two occupants inside the vehicle in need of rescue early Monday morning.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol received a call shortly after 3 a.m. regarding a traffic collision with parties trapped on Ford Boulevard and 3rd Street in front of King Taco in East Los Angeles.

Once fire crews arrived, they reported a solo vehicle collision into a street light pole with two occupants confirmed trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters worked to extricate the injured patients from the vehicle.

Both patients were transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
