BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Apr. 17 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving two vehicles in a Bakersfield intersection Tuesday night, left two people injured with one of them trapped inside a vehicle.
The collision occurred around 9:47 p.m. at Union Avenue and Brundage Lane. Responding Bakersfield police officers found two vehicles that were in an apparent head-on crash with a driver trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Bakersfield Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and immediately began working on extricating the trapped driver.
The driver appeared to be seriously injured, however, their condition was not immediately confirmed. Another injured party in unknown condition was also transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The area was blocked off as the Bakersfield PD investigated the traffic collision. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
