2-Vehicle Traffic Collision Involves Pedestrian

VERMONT-SLAUSON, LOS ANGELES, June 15 (KNN) — A pedestrian standing on a sidewalk was struck by one of two vehicles involved in a traffic collision late Thursday night.

The crash was reported at approximately 11:13 p.m. at the intersection of Slauson and Figueroa in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to initial reports of a person ejected from the collision, but upon arrival, firefighters determined it was a pedestrian.

The victim was standing on the southeast corner when two vehicles collided in the intersection. The collision between a black BMW and a gray Dodge resulted in the Dodge hitting the pedestrian, who was treated at the scene and transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.

Drivers of the involved sedans did not require transport and were released at scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
