Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: Two vehicles involved in a traffic collision left one injured and the apparent driver of one of the vehicles arrested at the scene for assaulting a Bakersfield Police Department officer.

The traffic collision occurred on Ming Avenue and Wible Road in the city of Bakersfield on Saturday, Oct. 8, around 7:30 p.m.
One victim appeared to be unconscious while treated by Bakersfield Fire Department at the scene and was transported by Hall Ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition.
A crowd gathered at the scene of the collision. It was unclear if they were occupants of the vehicles involved, witnesses, or bystanders.
The female driver of the vehicle reportedly at fault, was uncooperative and taken into custody for assaulting a police officer during the investigation.
Bakersfield Police Department is handling the investigation.
