Seattle, WA: A shooting near the University of Washington early Sunday morning, Oct. 2, is on the heels of the early Saturday morning shooting, both not far from each other in the city of Seattle.

Around 1:00 a.m., 911 dispatchers started receiving calls for a multi-casualty shooting at 4300 Brooklyn Avenue in Seattle U District. The location was within hundreds of feet of Saturday’s 12:10 a.m. shootout that sent bystanders running and left a man dead after being dragged under a fleeing car for multiple blocks.
Sunday morning’s incident sent four victims to the hospital in various conditions by Seattle Fire medics.
Key News Network interviewed bystander Ivan Avila who put a tourniquet on one victim’s wounded leg using a belt.
Avila said he was hanging out inside a bar when he heard about 5 gunshots. He said he looked outside and saw a young person around his age, 20, drop to the ground. Avila said he went to help the victim by wrapping his belt around his leg because there was so much bleeding.
The cause of the shooting is unknown at this time and under investigation.
