3 Killed in Suspected DUI Traffic Collision in Pomona

POMONA, Calif., Mar. 3 (KNN) — Three people were killed in a traffic collision late Saturday night involving a driver suspected of driving under the influence.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 11 p.m. at the intersection of South White Avenue and West Phillips Boulevard in the city of Pomona.

Pomona police officers along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the location and pronounced two people deceased at the scene.

A total of three patients were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions. One of those patients passed away at the hospital.

The DUI driver was arrested and also transported to a local hospital.

Daniel, a resident in the area of the traffic collision, spoke with Key News Network on-camera and said that he had heard a “big boom” when the crash occurred. He ran outside where he saw two crashed vehicles.

The intersection was closed as Pomona PD investigated the fatal collision.
