3 Rescued After Violent Crash Into Tree Amid Heavy Rain in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Feb. 5 (KNN) — A Dodge Challenger slid off the freeway and slammed into a tree leaving three occupants in need of rescue Sunday night in Santa Clarita.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on the northbound I-5 between McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard amid heavy rain.

Los Angeles County firefighters, EMTs and members of the Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue team rescued three injured people from the wrecked vehicle and rushed them via ambulances to a local hospital in unknown conditions.

The California Highway Patrol was also at the scene of the crash.
