SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (KNN) — A home invasion occurred in the neighborhood of Sherman Oaks overnight, with suspects fleeing the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a “hot prowl” burglary call shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of Weslin Avenue.
Arriving officers began inspecting the home and searching for any evidence. LAPD officers at the location confirmed the house was burglarized.
Officer Lee, spokesperson for the LAPD, told KNN that three male suspects gained entry by smashing a window of the occupied residence. It is unknown at this time what was stolen, according to Lee.
A witness stated he saw three suspects running away from the location. The description matches that of suspects involved in previous burglaries.
