ARCADIA, Calif., June 10 (KNN) — A home invasion burglary suspect was contained by homeowners after a struggle and shots fired early Monday morning in the city of Arcadia.
Arcadia police officers and Arcadia Fire Department personnel responded to the 400 block of Walnut Avenue for a gunshot victim shortly after midnight.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they located a male who was being held down at gunpoint by a homeowner.
A male suspect broke into the residence while the home was occupied. The homeowners confronted the suspect and a fight broke out with shots fired. Neither the suspect nor homeowners were struck by gunfire.
It is unclear at this time if the homeowner armed himself or the suspect was armed when he broke into the residence.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. A homeowner was assessed by firefighters at the scene but was not transported. The male homeowner had a torn t-shirt, possibly related to the struggle with the suspect.
Arcadia PD had a vehicle stopped with people detained.
On Monday afternoon, the Arcadia PD said in a statement that the department conducted the investigation and arrested four suspects. There were no further details.
