5 Injured in 3-Vehicle Traffic Collision on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills

WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (KNN) — Five people were hospitalized after a traffic collision involving three vehicles on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills early Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and California Highway Patrol West Valley Area officers responded to the 101 Freeway near the Woodlake exit for a traffic collision around 12:48 a.m. regarding an overturned vehicle involving three vehicles and five patients.

LAFD used the Jaws of Life to extricate one victim from a vehicle with severe front-end damage. Three patients were transported immediately from the scene to a local hospital, and two were delayed. The patients’ conditions are currently unknown.

A KNN video from the scene captured debris from the collision and the wrecked vehicles in lanes.

All lanes of the 101 Freeway were closed for an unknown duration.
