7-Eleven Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested on Active Railroad Tracks

Pico Rivera, Los Angeles County, CA: Two males are in sheriff’s custody after robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store at gunpoint late Wednesday night, Feb. 8, in the city of Pico Rivera.

The incident transpired shortly after 11:00 p.m. on the 9300 block of Slauson Avenue where 7-Eleven staff notified 911 that they were just robbed at gunpoint.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded to the area and found two males, approximately 19 years of age, running from the location.

Deputies initiated a foot pursuit until a sheriff’s helicopter came overhead and located the fleeing duo, who made their way onto active railroad tracks behind the 7-Eleven store.

The suspects attempted to flee east on the tracks but were quickly surrounded by deputies.

Freight and rail passenger traffic was temporarily halted as deputies took the suspects into custody.

No clerks were injured in the incident.
