SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Feb. 15 (KNN) — Seven loving couples said “I do” to their forever partner in a Valentine’s Day group wedding ceremony in the city of Santa Clarita.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Canyon Country Community Center in the 18400 block of Sierra Highway.
A decorated room with floral arrangements and music set the tone for the joyous occasion as guests waited for the ceremony to begin. The grooms made an entrance in line formation, followed by beautiful brides escorted by family members.
As the couples stood side by side, they were all married by a city official who guided each couple through their vows before pronouncing them “partners in life.”
The reception included food and wedding cake for all in attendance. Santa Clarita Mayor Cameron Smyth said local businesses donated their time and expertise to make this such a wonderful event.
In 2020, Santa Clarita became the only city in Los Angeles County to offer marriage licenses and ceremonies, according to Smyth.
Then our staff thought of how else this could be expanded upon, and they came up with this great event for a Valentine’s Day group wedding ceremony, said Smyth. This is the second year for the event.
