91 Freeway 2-Vehicle Collision Involves Fire, Rollover, 1 Hospitalized

COMPTON, CA, June 30 (KNN) — A two-vehicle collision resulted in one vehicle fully engulfed in flames and another overturned Friday night.

California Highway Patrol South Los Angeles officers received multiple reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision shortly before 9:30 p.m. on the eastbound CA-91 Freeway underneath Wilmington Avenue in Compton.

Upon arrival, officers found one upright vehicle fully engulfed in flames versus a BMW that was upside down. At least one female patient was able to exit the vehicle before it was fully consumed by fire. She was transported with unknown injuries to a nearby hospital by Compton Fire Department paramedics.

The driver from the BMW declined medical attention at the scene.

At least two lanes of the eastbound 91 Freeway were blocked while tow crews worked to clear the scene.
