Armed Suspects Rob Taco Truck in Downtown Los Angeles, 6 Vendors Total Targeted

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (KNN) — A taco truck parked curbside near a Downtown Los Angeles intersection was one vendor in a string of taco truck robberies Wednesday night that occurred in four different Los Angeles Police Department divisions.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division units responded to an armed robbery at a taco truck at 9th Street and Broadway at approximately 11:30 p.m. – the last taco vendor robbery of the night.

The LAPD reported there were a series of six robberies that occurred Aug. 16, all between 9:40 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. in four geographic divisions of the LAPD. The armed suspects targeted taco vendors at various locations within the Hollywood, Rampart, Northeast and Central Divisions.

According to LAPD, the suspects are described as two to four male Blacks, mid-20s to early 30s, dressed in dark clothing.

“During each incident, the suspects approached the victims, displayed a handgun, demanded money and made their escape in a white sedan with stolen property,” LAPD stated in a news release.
