High-Speed Pursuit of Burglary Suspects on 10 Freeway Ends in Crash, Suspects in Custody

WEST COVINA, CA, Aug. 18 (KNN) — A high-speed pursuit of burglary suspects on the westbound 10 Freeway early Friday morning ended in a crash with suspects attempting to flee on foot.

Upland Police Department officers were in pursuit of a black Dodge Charger occupied by suspects possibly armed and wanted for burglary.

The suspects led Upland PD on a pursuit on the westbound 10 Freeway into the West Covina area. The suspects exited the freeway at Vincent Avenue in West Covina and ultimately crashed around 1:30 a.m. into a construction area on the 1000 block of West Garvey Avenue N, where three suspects took off on foot.

All three suspects were taken into custody with assistance from West Covina Police Department officers and the California Highway Patrol.

It is not known at this time if Upland PD located any firearms.
