SEAL BEACH, CA, Aug. 20 (KNN) — Surfers attempted to ride the tall waves that crashed violently near the pier around 10 a.m. Sunday in Seal Beach as Hurricane Hilary entered the Southland as a tropical storm.
Large waves stretched along the Pacific Coast’s south facing beaches as surfers gathered near the Seal Beach pier.
Cresting waves came crashing down into the pier, creating an impressive show of Mother Nature.
Despite the powerful waves, no one was injured and there were no reports of any water rescues.
