Solo Vehicle Crash Into Tree on 405 Freeway Leaves 1 Hospitalized

SEPULVEDA BASIN, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 (KNN) — A single-vehicle crash involving a tree off a freeway sent one patient to the hospital Sunday evening.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a traffic collision on the southbound 405 Freeway and Burbank Boulevard in the area of the Sepulveda Basin.

Upon arriving on scene, firefighters found one individual trapped inside a vehicle into a tree.

Firefighters worked to extricate the patient who was transported in critical condition to a nearby trauma center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
