1 Wounded in South Los Angeles Shooting

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1 (KNN) — A gunshot victim was found in the Central-Alameda neighborhood within South Los Angeles overnight.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division officers responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 1800 block of East Washington Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a male down on the sidewalk on Washington Boulevard, just west of McGarry Street, with an unknown number of gunshot wounds.

Officers located at least four bullet casings nearby.

The victim was transported in unknown condition by the Los Angeles Fire Department to a local hospital.

There are no further details at this time.
