Vehicle Slams Into Power Pole, Driver Flees on Foot

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 (KNN) — A single vehicle sheared a power pole Tuesday morning near the intersection of West Osborne Street and North Haddon Avenue in Pacoima.

The vehicle was traveling southbound on Osborne around 4:11 a.m. when it veered the wrong way over the center divider and eventually crashed into a power pole on the northbound side. The pole was sheared and toppled to the ground, partially landing on the vehicle.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and requested police officers and the L.A. Department of Transportation to close Osborne in both directions due to power lines down in the roadway.

The solo occupant in the vehicle fled on foot after the collision down Haddon Avenue and out of view.
