San Bernardino Shooting Leaves 1 Wounded, 1 Apprehended

SAN BERNARDINO, CA, Sept. 15, (KNN) — A shooting in San Bernardino Thursday night left one person wounded and another apprehended by authorities at the scene.

Firefighters responded to reports of a gunshot victim shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the area of 10th Street and Hancock Street.

Per a bystander at the scene, one person was shot and transported by ambulance to a local area hospital in an unknown condition.

One person was arrested and taken into custody as seen in Key News Network video from the location. The arrested subject’s involvement in the shooting was unclear at the time of this report.

A bystander at the scene of the shooting said officers shot a person who fled from them on foot. However, the San Bernardino Police Department will not confirm this and are not releasing any information at this time.

What appeared to be a clip from a gun and a bullet or spent shell casing were seen marked by evidence markers in the middle of the street.

It is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting and if it was an officer who fired his weapon.

10th Street and Hancock were closed off while officers conducted their investigation into the shooting.
