BAKERSFIELD, CA, Sept. 20 (KNN) — A driver was taken into custody for suspected DUI after striking and injuring a pedestrian Tuesday evening in the city of Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Chester and 4th Street around 7:46 p.m. that left the victim suffering from moderate injuries.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for suspected DUI after officers administered a field sobriety test at the scene.
BPD is handling the investigation.
