Vehicle Pursuit of Red Jaguar Ends in Crash, Armed Suspect Search

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, Oct. 15 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department was in pursuit of a red Jaguar that terminated in a crash and a subsequent armed suspect search in Beverly Hills.

An unknown length pursuit occurred Sunday night and ended in a traffic collision involving two other innocent motorists and a city bus shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Rexford and Santa Monica Boulevard.

One suspect was taken into custody just after the collision, and a second suspect fled northbound deeper into Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills PD responded to assist LAPD in searching for the outstanding suspect. A firearm was also possibly recovered at the scene.

It is unknown at this time what initially prompted the pursuit.

Traffic was closed eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard while police searched for the outstanding suspect.

Approximately seven people, including the driver on the city bus, were evaluated for injuries by paramedics. It is not known at this time, if anyone was taken to the hospital.
