The Los Angeles County Fire Department and deputies from the LASD Lost Hills Station responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 21000 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

LACoFD Capt. Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh spoke with Key News Network at the location and stated four victims were pronounced deceased at the scene and two others sustained minor injuries and chose not to be transported.

Kelliher-Berkoh said the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene and will piece together the collision to find out exactly what happened.

The stretch of the location of the crash along PCH will be closed to traffic into the early morning hours.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash due to nature and impact of the vehicles and parked cars that were hit as well, according to Kelliher-Berkoh.

The crash left a trail of broken glass, crash debris, toppled trash cans and damaged parked vehicles in its path.

There are no further details at this time.
