LANCASTER, CA, Oct 19 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving a semi and sedan left two people dead at the scene in Lancaster Thursday afternoon.

Shortly before 1 p.m., a semi owned by J.B. Hunt, was traveling on 50th Street West southbound. When the truck legally made its way through the intersection of 50th Street West and Avenue G, it collided with a silver sedan that was traveling west on Avenue G and had failed to yield at a stop sign.
The sedan was carrying two passengers and both were pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation and had no comment regarding the collision at the time of this report.
