CYPRESS PARK, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division patrol units responded to a call of a man shot in a van at the 76 gas station around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the corner of Figueroa Street and Avenue 26 in Cypress Park.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the male driver of the van with a gunshot wound to the stomach. A female passenger also sustained a bullet graze wound to her head.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There were several other family members in the van at the time of the shooting, including a young child. None of them were reported to be injured.
The shooting occurred nearby and the wounded driver pulled into the gas station for help.
No further information was available at the time of this report.
