Key News Network footage of the gusty winds was captured at multiple locations in Chatsworth and Porter Ranch throughout the early morning hours.

The Los Angeles Fire Department announced a red flag warning due to critical fire weather, with restricted parking in effect within the very high fire hazard severity zones in Los Angeles.

Restricted parking opens up critical areas where parked vehicles could delay citizens trying to evacuate and fire companies attempting to gain access during a brush fire incident, according to the LAFD.

Red flag parking restrictions went into effect on Oct. 29, and continue through Monday, Oct. 30, until further notice.
