Multi-Vehicle Freeway Traffic Collision Involves Palmdale Sheriff’s Deputy

ACTON, CA, Nov. 1 (KNN) — At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle traffic collision that also involved a sheriff’s deputy on the 14 Freeway Wednesday night.

A traffic collision was reported on the southbound 14 Freeway shortly after 9:30 p.m. at Santiago Road in the unincorporated area of Acton within Los Angeles County.

The collision involved a Palmdale sheriff’s deputy that was uninjured in the crash.

The extensively damaged vehicles – at least four – were visible across all lanes which caused a complete closure of the southbound 14 Freeway in the area of the crash.

At least one party was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert at 10:05 p.m. with all lanes closed for 45 minutes.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.
