SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (KNN) — A garage fire extended into multiple floors of a townhouse Monday morning and firefighters worked aggressively to control the flames of the greater alarm structure fire that left four people displaced.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to a reported fire shortly before 3 a.m. on the 11000 block of West Arminta Street in Sun Valley and found a garage fully involved affecting a two-story townhome.
Fire was established on the first floor, with extensions into the second. Four adult residents were able to self evacuate and are temporarily displaced by fire damage. The Red Cross will be assisting them.
According to the LAFD, the fire was knocked down by 3:38 a.m. with 106 firefighters on scene.
One firefighter who battled the flames from the onset, experienced exhaustion and was taken to a local hospital in good condition for medical clearance per protocol, reported the LAFD.
No other injuries were reported.
