EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8 (KNN) — An armed man refusing to exit a Metro bus early Wednesday morning led to a standoff with police and prompted a response from SWAT.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division patrol units responded to the intersection of Melrose and Western Avenues in East Hollywood around 4 a.m. for reports of a man armed with a gun on a Metro bus.
When officers arrived on scene, they made verbal contact with the suspect who refused to exit the bus.
After several attempts to elicit a response from the suspect to no avail, the decision was made to call in SWAT from LAPD’s Metropolitan Division.
