Firefighters Contain Brush Fire Moving Toward Homes in Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., (KNN) — Ventura County Fire Department crews responded to reports of a brush fire Thursday night on the eastbound 118 Freeway at Kuehner Drive in Simi Valley.

When crews arrived on scene shortly before 10 p.m., they located a one-acre brush fire on the off-ramp moving downhill toward residences.

The fire was contained before any serious structure threat was imminent.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
